    Prince Saud bin Nayef inaugurates 2018 Careers Fair

     AlKhalidi appreciates the patronage of His Highness of the exhibition, which is an important step to support the national transformation project in the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

     

     

    On Monday 22 October, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, prince of the Eastern Province, inaugurated the 6th edition of  Jobs Fair 2018, which is organized by Asharqia Chamber in partnership with Dhahran Expo Company. The Job Far will continue until Thursday 25 October 2018 at Dhahran Expo. A large number of establishments concerned with resettlement, training and Saudization participated in the event.

     

    His Highness toured the exhibition grounds and offered to a full explanation of the contents of the exhibition and the career opportunities it will offer to job seekers, by the Chairman of the Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi.

    His Highness thanked Asharqia Chamber and all the sponsors and participants for the success of the exhibition and wished good luck for the job seekers from the young Saudis and young women.

     

    The Chairman of the Chamber, Al-Kaldi, appreciated the patronage of His Highness the Emir of the region, as he considered the exhibition as an important step in supporting the national transformation project in the vision of the Kingdom of 2030.

     

    AlKhalidi said that the annual exhibition aims to support the efforts to settle jobs in the private sector. It provides a large number of jobs with multiple options for job seekers, amounted to about 6,500 jobs, highlights the role of the business sector in attracting national talent in addition to providing job opportunities for Saudi youth, and achieves communication between the various bodies involved in training, employment and human resources management. Thus, it helps in creating an atmosphere of professional awareness, and upgrading the concept of professional culture to applicants and job seekers alike.

     

     

    Al-Khalidi explained that great efforts have been made in preparation for the launch of the exhibition, with the active and positive participation of many companies and entities concerned with resettlement and training, with 130 companies and government institutions participating in the event.

    Al-Khalidi pointed out that the government participation in this edition emphasizes the importance of the exhibition and the vitality of its role in supporting the development of human resources.

    He pointed out the participation of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development and the Human Resources Development Fund, with special wings for each facility offering the public the services it provides to citizens.

     

    Al-Khalidi said that companies and institutions offer diverse employment opportunities for young men and women job seekers.

    The participants of the exhibition required mandatory registration through an electronic platform for pre-registration in the exhibition, as this feature enables the applicants to enter directly to the exhibition and roaming between companies and institutions without having to bring the CV or print or photocopy to hard copies, as all of the CV information will be pre-existing on the platform associated with all exhibitors.

    Al-Khalidi pointed out that the early registration service means that all the information of the applicants will be within the database of the participating companies directly, which enable them to select the competencies and communicate with them directly without the need to deal with papers.

     

    Furthermore, Secretary-General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabil said that the exhibition will receive visitors (men only) on Tuesday 22 October for two periods, in the morning from 10 am to 2 pm, and in the evening from 4 pm to 8 pm, and on Wednesday, October 24 in the morning from 10 am to 2 pm, and in the evening from 4 pm to 8 pm.

    The exhibition will also receive visitors (families) on Thursday 25 October in the morning from 10 am to 2 pm, and in the evening from 4 pm to 8 pm.

     

    Al-Wabel said that 3 scientific workshops will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition in cooperation with the Human Resources Fund, with the participation of a number of specialists and interested parties.

    On the first day, a workshop entitled "Preparing the CV" was held from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm (men only). On Tuesday 23 October, a workshop entitled "Job Search Methods" will be held from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm (men only).

    On Wednesday, October 24, a workshop entitled "Personal Interview Skills" will be held from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm (men only).

     

    The exhibition includes a number of career opportunities in different fields, where jobs were reserved for men in the following specializations (837 in sales), (500 administrative), (2000 technical), (115 medical), (745 engineering) and (605 others).

     Jobs also were reserved for women in the following specializations (351 sales), administrative (318 administrative), (74 technical), (76 medial), (192 engineering) and (153 others).

    In addition, there are jobs that allocated for people with special needs in the following specialties (sales 9) and (administrative 32) and (technical 74) and (engineering 31), and (8 others).​
